なお批判 Investment analyst Peter Tasker has criticised the Democracy Index for lacking transparency and accountability beyond the numbers. To generate the index, the Economist Intelligence Unit has a scoring system in which various experts are asked to answer 60 questions and assign each reply a number, with the weighted average deciding the ranking. However, the final report does not indicate what kinds of experts, nor their number, nor whether the experts are employees of the Economist Intelligence Unit or independent scholars, nor the nationalities of the experts.[19]
英国時事週刊誌「エコノミスト(The Economist)」の付設経済分析機関「エコノミスト・インテリジェンス・ユニット(EIU)」が27日(現地時間)に発表した「民主主義指数2024(Democracy Index 2024)」で韓国は32位を記録した。
EIUは報告書を通じて「韓国は非常戒厳宣言と後続の政治的膠着状態で政府機能と政治文化の点数が下方調整された」と明らかにした。
